Lookout Home

They had dreamed of a log home, but the budget didn’t quite stretch that far. Instead of compromising on the mountain feel they wanted, we got creative—mixing square timbers with round logs and using log siding where full logs weren’t necessary. The result? A home that looks and feels like a true Colorado retreat without breaking the bank.

At 2,000 square feet, the layout is simple and intentional. The main floor gives them everything they need day-to-day, while the lower level is designed for the people they hoped would always visit—kids, grandkids, and friends. A walkout basement takes advantage of the sloped site, making the most of the landscape. Every detail was designed with them in mind—proving that it’s not the size of the house that matters but how well it fits the life they want to live.
